Welcome Shelby!
So we have been very busy over the past months waiting for Miss Shelby Grace to arrive. The kids are so funny! Mia was so excited, but now doesn't want to hold her yet. (She said when we got home.) Jake seems to be in love with her more. Such a good big brother...he loves her already...his 2 younger sisters are going to be very well protected! Shelby was the smallest of the Langford bunch at birth...6 lbs and 6 oz and 19 3/4 long. We are all so glad that she is here!!!

Christmas Morning 2008
Christmas 2008
So Jake and Mia were taken to see the Nutcracker this year with Mom and Dad. They both really enjoyed the performance. Also, we went to Christmas Eve mass with the kids. Mia went right up to the front to hear the story...Jake did not want to go :( They both were able to h old the candles during Silent Night. We had a big family dinner at Gene's house. It was a great Christmas Eve.
Mia's Christmas Program at Zoo School
Mia's 3rd Birthday
So here are some pictures from Mia's 3rd birthday. When she woke up I decorated the entire kitchen with pink princesses and made her pink cupcakes, that we wook to school that morning. Of course I bought her a new dress, Mia's favorite! Later that night she actually had her Christmas performance, see next post, and we went to the zoo afterwards and enjoyed their Wild Wonderland with lights and free rides. The next day was Mia's actual party and we had is at Corona Park in South Tampa. Perfect day! Mia had a great time with all her friends!

Busch Gardens
Watch out Bob Villa...here comes Mia!
I found this class at Home Depot where you can take your kids to a building class on a Saturday morning and "build something together" (that might be the Loews slogan, so I apologize.) Anyways, the kids loved it! Especially Mia! She had a blast! And of course now JJ wants to hammer everything he sees!
Last Beach Days of the Summer...
At the time I didn't know it, but these would be the last beach days of our summer. I wished we would have stayed for the sunset. The kids LOVE the beach (this was not always the case, right Courtney and Natalie :)... and now that they are getting a little older it is so nice to not have to watch their every move, only to enjoy it. watching them laugh, splash in the water and being so carefree just to enjoy life. It is such a simple pleasure we take for granted living in Florida, yet it is really the simple pleasure of watching my children grow up before my eyes that I really take for granted.
August...Lazy Days of Summer...
Sweet Mia...
Time flies!
Here is a picture with Jake and Mia's best friends. We all got brave, dressed them up and took them to church, together, for Baby Avery's christening (sp?). They were all great and amazingly so well behaved...it's usually chaos when they all get together...there must have been special powers helping out that day!
Grandma Saylers visit...leaving was the hard part.
It's Been a While...
I apologize to all the family members about not posting anything for the past 2 months. With a new business going, I seem to be busier than expected. I am going to try and catch up as I really enjoy going back to look at all the whole year in pictures. It makes me realize how far they, the kids, have come in one year, and realize that in a blink of an eye, they will soon be all grown up...

PANCAKES!
JJ and Mia are now addicted to my homemade pancakes. For a while, I attempted to make them from the box mixes, well, that did not work. For some reason, they always turned out horrible! I thought they were awful and I wasn't the only one. So I decided to make them from scratch. And it worked! Now, my two assistants love to help make them. I think that JJ can recite the ingredients and the order we put them in by now. Mia's favorite thing to do is stir. Hopefully, one day they will do this with their kids! (I know I have good memories of when Mom let us cook with her!)
Let's Go Fly a Kite!
JJ, Mia and I went to Davis Island to fly kites back in May. It was a perfect day and the kids had so much fun watching their kite fly! We got a bonus too! We were able to see the small planes land and take off from the nearby airport! So neat! After we flew our kites, we went to have some ice cream at Java and Cream. This was JJ's first ice cream! Yes, I know he is almost 4 but he never liked it before because the other stores didn't have a flavor caller SUPERMAN!!!
Trenton's 3rd Birthday
So, I am attempting to catch up 3 months of missed blogs that i should have been keeping up with! For those that visit my blog regularly, I am sorry. This is one of my favorite hobbies...looking at the pictures and reminding my that everyday, they get so big and that time doesn't stand still. JJ and Mia are now 3.5 and 2.5 and I have been so blessed to be able to watch and enjoy every minute of them growing into the wonderful people that I know they will grow up to be.
